(Washington, DC) Chairman Larry Craig announced today that the Senate Committee on Veterans’ Affairs will soon begin hearing from a variety of veterans’ organizations, beginning with two hearings next week. 

Both hearings will be webcast live, and archived for viewing later, at http://veterans.senate.gov. They may also be audiocast – during the hearings only – on C-SPAN’s hearings website, located at http://www.capitolhearings.org.

On Tuesday, February 28, in room 216 of the Hart Senate Office Building, starting at 2:00 p.m. Eastern, the committee will receive the legislative presentation of the Disabled American Veterans.

Representing the DAV will be:

• Paul W. Jackson, National Commander, to be accompanied by:

David W. Gorman, Executive Director, Washington Headquarters

Arthur H. Wilson, National Adjutant

Joseph A. Violante, National Legislative Director

Edward E. Hartman, National Director of Voluntary Services

Edward R. Reese, Jr., National Service Director

Judy M. Steinhouse, National Commander, Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary

On Thursday, March 2, in room 106 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building, starting at 10:00 a.m. Eastern, the committee will receive the legislative presentation of leaders from five other organizations for veterans and survivors, including:

• Joe Banks, National Executive Secretary, Fleet Reserve Association
• Morgan Brown, Manager, Military and Government Relations, Air Force Sergeants Association
• Deirdre Parke Holleman, National Legislative Director, The Retired Enlisted Association
• Rose Lee, Legislative Director, Gold Star Wives of America
• Vice Admiral Norbert R. Ryan, Jr., USN-Ret, President, Military Officers Association of America
