I know you've all seen David Gergen as a talking head on various TV news programs.

Gergen is currently a professor of public service at Harvard's John F. Kennedy School of Government and director of its Center for Public Leadership. He is also editor-at-large for U.S. News & World Report and a Senior Political Analyst for CNN. In earlier years, he served as a White House advisor to Presidents Nixon, Ford, Reagan and Clinton.

The following interview was conducted on May 6, 2008, many months before Gen. Eric Shinseki became Secretary of the Department of Veterans' Affairs (VA).

It is lengthy (57:37) but it gives you a good look at the leadership style of Shinseki and what he is bringing to the VA.
