Reward Offered for Info. on VA Computer Theft

VA Security Breach Update



INDIANAPOLIS - The FBI is offering up to $10,000 for information about the theft of 3 computers and other equipment from a Veterans Administration hospital in Indianapolis.

The computers - two desktops and one laptop - along with two monitors, one printer and a keyboard were reported stolen from locked offices of the Roudebush Medical Center on Nov. 10.

Officials say one of the computers contained password-protected files on about 12,000 patients.

Michael S. Welch, the special agent in charge of the FBI's Indianapolis office, said Wednesday the reward would be paid for information leading to the identification and arrest of those responsible for the theft.
